Catholic Wedding, the Sacrament

If one partner is not a Catholic or has been divorced, this is a matter of the heart and not a matter

of the Independent Catholic Church. All of your family and guests are welcome at the Lord’s table

to receive Communion and share, as Christians, the body and blood of Jesus.

You need not be a member of our church. Additionally, Pre-Cana classes are not required. Our

Priest will be happy to have religious discussions with you after Mass on any Sunday, without

any monetary compensation. Counselling, advice and preparation for your wedding with your

priest should not cost you money.

Your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life. It is a sacrament and a gift from

the Lord. Let not politics interfere with your religious preference. Have your wedding and a

Catholic Priest.

Father Michael is the Pastor of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Brooksville, Florida. His

church is an Independent Catholic Community; one of hundreds of independent Catholic churches

in the United States, not under the jurisdiction of the Vatican.

We are part of the one, holy, Catholic and apostolic church established by our Lord Jesus Christ.

We look to the sacred traditions of the Catholic faith, interpreted in the light of contemporary

knowledge and understanding, to guide us in matters of faith and worship. Father Michael is

ordained to the sacramental priesthood considered valid by the Roman Catholic Church.

united to her by means of the closest bonds, that is, by apostolic succession and a valid Eucharist,

are true particular Churches.

Father Michael and his wife have been married for more than 42 years and are parents of three

children and grandparents of two.

St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church is small in size, as is our fellowship hall and reception area.

You are welcome to plan weddings and receptions, or wedding only and a reception at another

place of your choosing and budget.

We are a Catholic Church and we welcome all, regardless of race, national origin, marital status, political beliefs, economic status, sexual orientation or gender identity.
